The Best Way To Get Over Someone

So a little while ago I was seeing this girl and I'd say we hit off pretty good from the start. It was one of those relationships where we'd see each other every day for like the first week. It was fun, casual, light hearted but still cutesy. Then she started with the "I feel like I have known you forever" talk and the "I feel so comfortable around you" blah blah blah you get the point. I don't think it ever got to the point where she called me Joshy. If a girl calls me Joshy it usually means she has a good amount of interest (if ya know what I mean). I know that might sound funny but it has been my experience that once they call me Joshy then the games are over and the deal is sealed.

So after we had a little DTR (for those outside of Utah that means, Determine The Relationship) we decided that it'd be best if we went our separate ways and remain just friends. I think there was mutual pain between the two of us that night as she left. I wasn't head over heels for this girl, however I have to say it was nice to have someone fun/cute to spend some quality time with wink wink nudge nudge.  It helped knowing that she wasn't exactly what I was looking for and so I'm already over it.

Which gives great segway to this story... It was a couple years ago we were having a Calle warehouse sale and this big burly rodeo woman in her late 30's came in to the warehouse. She had a little hitch in her step almost like she just finished riding a horse to get there. This lady and I hit off right away. She was even ready to wrestle right there on the spot, no joke. She had the charisma and swagger that I'm all about and feed off of. She wanted to know why I wasn't married yet and I told her I was just getting out of a relationship back then. Maybe seeing the pain I felt at that time she offered me some sincere counsel that I just had to laugh at. She said the BEST way to get over someone is to get under someone else.... Pause. Now and think about it for a moment and here comes the chuckle. Now I'll agree that's probably not the best advice but it did bring a smile to my face which does help a achy heart.
